27 Jun 5 OF DUBAI'S BEST FREE BEACHES
Built on the coast, Dubai is home to several beaches.
Public beaches, private beaches, farniente, festive, bobo, there's something for everyone, and in this article we list the 5 best public beaches.
- Black Palace Beach (Al Sufouh Beach)
Also known as Secret Beach, Black Palace Beach is a beautiful hidden beach in Dubai located between two palaces.
To avoid attracting crowds, and to preserve the tranquility of the royal family's neighbors, this beach has no facilities. However, we do recommend it, as the water color is magnificent.
Pack a picnic and enjoy a great day at 0 euros.
- Kite Beach
A lively beach close to the Burj Al Arab. Anything goes here, from yoga to volleyball and lots of kite surfing. But it's not all about water sports - there's also a beach library, stores and plenty of food outlets to grab your midday snacks.
- La Mer
La Mer is a seafront shopping and dining destination at Jumeirah 1. The beach is a stretch of sand dotted with brightly colored beach huts, sun loungers and even hammocks in the water. While you're there, take a stroll through some of the 130 stores, restaurants and cafés all along the waterfront.
- Sunset Beach
Known as one of Dubai's best surf beaches, Sunset Beach lies just along the sands of Kite Beach, opposite Sunset Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road. It's not as well known as Kite Beach, so if you leave early for a morning stroll, you'll almost have the beach to yourself. The sunsets are particularly epic.
- The Beach JBR
One of Dubai's most popular beaches among residents and tourists alike, this is the public beach closest to the Dubai Marina. It's dotted with sunbeds and cabanas for seaside lounging, and the promenade is packed with stores, restaurants, an open-air market and even a mini playground. There are magnificent sunsets and you'll have the best views of Ain Dubai.
