DUBAI MALL'S MUSICAL FOUNTAINS
Located at the foot of the world's tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa.
The Dubai Mall musical fountains, inaugurated in 2009, are located on an artificial lake that lights up every day, every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. for a spectacular show.
From Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston to Céline Dion, Andrea Boccelli, Adele, Edith Piaf, Enrique Iglesias and Oum Kalthoum, they can also be played to more oriental music from the region or world music.
Designed by the same engineers as the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Dubaī's fountains are nonetheless the largest in the world, stretching over 275 meters in length, and featuring 6,600 spotlights and 50 video projectors that illuminate the fountain throughout the show. The water projected is capable of reaching heights of up to 150 meters, thanks to the powerful motors used.
The show is free of charge, and for the best view of the fountain, we recommend that you stand at the central entrance to Souk Al Bahar, a little-frequented area opposite the Dubai mall, where you can admire the fountain without being disturbed by the crowds.
Alternatively, you can admire them comfortably seated in the restaurants on the floors of Dubai mall, such as the orchestra, Paul, Joe's café and Hooka, or in the Apple boutique.
