HATTA KAYAK, DUBAI

Right in the middle of Oman's mountainous border chain, the neighboring Sultana, lies a natural lake, a real mirage and a little paradise. Here, you'll have the chance to admire this fabulous panorama aboard pedalos, kayaks and small electric boats, which can be rented on an unlimited basis or by the hour. This haven of peace is around 2 hours' drive from the center of Dubai, and can only be reached by car. It's possible and even advisable to bring your own picnic, which you can enjoy on site or, even better, on the small electric boats if you choose them. There are no queues for kayak or pedal-boat hire, but you may have to wait for more than 30 minutes for electric boat hire. For a more leisurely activity, Sol do Dubai recommends the latter, but it's up to you to choose what you prefer. Also, you won't find any toilets or refreshment points on site, as these are located on the other side of the hill, around 1.5km away. This activity point is open all year round, even in summer, but in hot weather, Hatta Kayak only opens in the afternoon.
